Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti to Hold Two-Day Spiritual Congregation in Sikkim
GANGTOK, OCT 6: The Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti, Sikkim, is set to organise a two-day spiritual and religious congregation in Rangpo from October 10, 2026, with an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 devotees expected to attend the programme.

The congregation will bring together followers and members of the public for spiritual discourses and discussions on human values, spirituality, social harmony and welfare. Sadguru Shri Satpal Ji Maharaj, the founder and spiritual head associated with Manav Dharma, along with other revered saints, is expected to grace the occasion and address the gathering.

Addressing a Press Conference here at Gangtok today, President of Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti, Sikkim, Purna Yonzon, the Chief Minister of Sikkim, Prem Singh Tamang is expected to attend the first day, while the Governor of Sikkim is scheduled to be present on the second day of congregation. Ministers, legislators and a large number of members of the public are also expected to participate.

The programme is being organised by the Sikkim unit of Manav Utthan Sewa Samiti, an organisation engaged in spiritual as well as social-service activities. The Sikkim unit currently has six samitis and around 65 sakhas, which are actively involved in various spiritual and community-oriented programmes.

Speaking about the organisation's work, President Purna Yonzon said the Samiti is committed not only to spiritual activities but also to extending support to people and communities wherever it is needed. The organisation has also been involved in environmental activities and educational support for underprivileged children.

The Samiti's Mission Education initiative focuses on supporting deprived and underprivileged children across India by helping them access education and opportunities for a better future.

General Secretary Bikram Hamkhim said that education and environmental conservation remain two of the organisation's major areas of focus. He said the Samiti is actively working with underprivileged sections of society and seeking to support communities through various welfare initiatives.

The organisers said the congregation will provide an opportunity for people to listen to spiritual discourses and gain an understanding of human values, unity, harmony and spiritual consciousness, while also reinforcing the message of service to humanity.

The event is expected to be one of the major spiritual gatherings in Sikkim, with the large turnout reflecting the growing participation in the Samiti's spiritual and social-service activities.
